Partial
anomalous venous return In
this malformation one o two pulmonary veins (usually the right) are
not connected with the left atrium but with the right atrium and the
vena cava. Part of the oxygenated blood coming from the lungs turns
directly or indirectly to the right atrium. The consequences are similar
to those of the atrial septal defect event the time for surgery is similar.
