Double outlet right ventricle

Both aorta and pulmonary artery rise from the right ventricle and the only outlet for the left ventricle is a VSD; if there are no malformation associated it behaves like a  large VSD, if there is a pulmonary stenosis it features like a tetralogy of Fallot. The surgical correction consist in the closure of the VSD with a patch which allows the left ventricle to empty into aorta and the correction of pulmonary lesions if present.
